It's a fight between 6 left wing liberals. Shreveport is going to hell in a hand basket.
People who actually work for a living move across the river to Bossier.
Shreveport schools are F rated as of yesterday's report. They keep moving kids around. But you can't fix inner city low IQ.
Bossier is B rated and very near A rated. And in Bossier, you need to have an ID with a pic to vote.

Ollie Tyler is Cedric Glover's pick. I know her. She can almost speak coherent English. But she is near senile. Provenza is the token white candidate who is running for shits and giggles. The other white woman is 80 years old and no one knows her name. She volunteers for community projects.
Tyler is being heavily outspent by Patrick Williams. He's a crook, so he should win.

She comes from a long line of Dems. Her dad was a major player in the Dem party in Bossier. That was in the mafia days of the Bossier Strip when I first moved up here back in the 60s.
I've never met her. Maybe she is different. Haven't heard anything about her on the streets. I just know for certain that Cedric wants Tyler to win and a lot of the cops and firemen are going to vote for Tyler.

You are right. There isn't anyone running that could start a turn around. Shreveport has hit that tipping point where they will never have a mayor that does anything but run the city for one part of the population.

I know several teachers at Byrd High School (where Provenza teaches), and they all say she is bat-shite crazy. Not a single one of them is voting for her.
