Should Donald Jr. and Eric really be a part of the transition team?

I mean, I have nothing against either of them, but I'd rather they just continue to run the day to day operations of Trump's Empire, while Ivanka is the one who stays close with her father when it comes to this transition and eventual national policy. I just don't know why those two were there sitting in on the tech meeting appointing future advisors. I'd rather they have a hands off approach when it comes to the overall future of our country.

While this is a bit harsh, I tend to agree that this is a silly thing to worry about. What's it going to hurt?

Granted, I'm much less worried about them being a part of the transition team than I am with them being an actual advisement team that Trump is putting together. For now this just seems kind of weird to me, and nothing really more.

If this were a Democrat administration this board would be calling for a DOJ investigation.

It's time to phase Jr. and Eric out if they're going to be running the Trump companies.

OP felt compelled to repeat a point from another thread.

You seem triggered bitch.

Oh look, it learned what triggered means from one of its little blogs and regurgitates it like a good boy

Pretty much. I highly doubt this is some kind of grand scheme.

I agree, but Trump is already trying (to his credit) to get policy and substantive developments moving I think, and thus it makes sense to go ahead and do the pivot at this point.

Didn't read your post.

Because...

Who is on Transition team doesn't matter as long as they have clearances IF they need one.

They are NOT government employees and don't have to be. So the rules of nepotism don't apply.

If you think they do then think back to the actual Kennedy Administration.
Not only was the Transition team littered with relatives but Robert ended up being the AG.

How am I melting here, a-hole? I'm asking a pretty logical question, because its undeniably at least weird that they're there.

No, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. Nobody would bat an eye if it was the other way around and it was Chelsea. The media would actually be praising the idea (and it also wouldn't matter because cabinet positions would've already been bought and paid for).

Chelsea wouldn't have really been involved with anything I don't think. She would have entered politics long ago if she had actual ambition to do such. Bill was elected Governor of Arkansas on two separate occasions by the time he was her age.

What offices have the Trump children run for? Also-you forget Chelsea is pretty big into the CF.

Until November, Trump wasn't an actual politician either. They were doing what they needed to do to get their father elected by building up his brand. They did well with that and clearly have ambition to move up as faces of the Trump brand. I mean, look at the opening credits of the Apprentice and how he is escalating his own family's brand:

Yeah, but it's also a cushy job for her to do something. She's not really doing press conferences. Some speeches, sure, but I've never seen her challenged. I think that Chelsea is actually intimidated by the political sphere, which is why she wasn't utilized to the same degree in the campaign as Trump utilized his own children (particularly Ivanka). We just haven't seen near the degree of ruthlessness and cunning in Chelsea as we have with Donald and his children.

She isn't but I'll give 5 to 1 odds she will run for congress within 4 years
