The Police have already said that Marilou Danley is the shooter's "roommate" (but refused to give the shooter's name). Putting 2 and 2 together, Marilou is (or was) married to Geary. A simple Facebook search proves that.
So either Geary is the shooter (99% sure he is) or the shooter is a roommate of both Geary and Marilou and killed both of them. I find that doubtful.
EDIT: It could be Paddock if indeed Paddock was living with Marilou. Has that been confirmed?

The address used on the scanner was for Paddock’s address.
Geary lives in Sparks which is considerably further away from Las Vegas.
