During testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) asked Sessions if he could pledge to not place “reporters in jail for doing their jobs.”
“Well, I don’t know that I can make a blanket commitment to that effect. But I will say this, we have not taken any aggressive action against the media at this point,” Sessions replied.
“But we have matters that involve the most serious national security issues that put our country at risk and we will utilize the authorities that we have legally and constitutionally if we have to.”
“We respect the important role the press plays and we’ll give them respect, but it’s not unlimited,” Sessions said at the time.
“They cannot place lives at risk with impunity. We must balance the press’ role with protecting our national security and the lives of those who serve in the intelligence community, the Armed Forces and all law-abiding Americans.”

I don't like Sessions, but that's a well thought out reasonable response.

Journalists that fabricate things to cause social unrest/tension should be prosecuted and fired, at minimum.

That's a great response by Sessions.

Which leads to the obvious questions. What is a journalist? Today the mass media considers bloggers as journalist. They are nothing but opinion writers. Guess what?? To a large extent so are many of the reporters at the NY Times, CNN, MSNBC, etc...
They don't diligently research. Rarely fact check. Often cite a single anonymous source, etc..etc... do we want these fricks hiding behind a journalist shield??
Don't think so.

I know a lot of people hate sessions because muh weed bro, but I think he is a man of honor that genuinely believes in the rule of law and has the best intentions for this country. I’m proud of my AG

If he'd have ended that with "CNN is fake news" I'd forgive him for being hard headed about pot heads.
