So, should they stand on Principle re a couple of aspects - and essentially shut the whole Trump Agenda (Tax Reform) down - or vote with what they will perceive as OCare light...and get on board?

I'm upvote for get on with it. Health care is the moral issue in today's political world, not even Trump can go against that. Access for the poor will either be 'on the books' and paid for in some way, shape or form...or God knows what.

Cruz has been involved with the discussions since Day 1, so it's likely he'll vote for it.

The real critical votes are the likes of Portman, Collins, Capito, and Murkowski.

I think if they just removed the Obama from 'Care' then most "conservatives" would forget about PPACA inside of 24 hours.

No way a true conservative would look at Trump's proposal and think it's a better alternative, in substance.

What has Rand said about this recent version? I haven't seen anything.

I got an email from his office monday. It was basically the same "We need a real healthcare bill, not an Obamacare lite bill" that they sent out in March when the original AHCA came out in the house. I replied to the email and told them that if Rand voted against repealling Obamacare then he should resign his seat.

Rand has expressed problems with it, ns. Any solid Conservative would; and that is the problem. Conservatives don't want to have their names attached to Policy which will essentially be OCare Light; I.e., essentially a Government Program which mitigates Private Companies losses toward insuring high risks clients...and State(Medicaid) Services to the poor. But if they walk away from a fix - nws these two hurdles - the System goes DOWN. And in short order at that.

Kinda like shooting in the dark. Or expecting our Bullpen to step up and win the CWS.

The good (or, at least, less shitty) should not be sacrificed for unattainable perfection.

Pass this, pass the rest of the agenda (taxes, immigration, wall), get a shitton more Senate seats, pass more changes to AHCA in 2019.

They just need to get rid of Obamacare. The democrats are fighting for it to protect Obama's legacy. Once Obamacare is gone, the fight will subside and other changes can be made.
