To an extent I agree with that, but in any campaign you have to re-define what you stand for (even if it's for the same thing that it has been for years). To Schumer's point, the Democrats failed to do this.

The foundation of Hillary's campaign messaging was "ME! ME! ME!", this was evident from her "I'm With HER!" and/or "It's HER Turn!" catchphrase (especially when compared to Trump's "Make America Great Again") as well as her lackluster campaign travelling (ie: you can't get your message out if you aren't out there putting it out).

Beyond "We're not Trump" and "It's Hillary's turn", her campaign had no other message. Bernie had more of a message but then he shot himself in the foot at the campaign by rolling over and showing his belly at the convention after his conspiracy theories about the DNC being against him were true.

This is just leading to a reset.

See all the trial balloons of the next cool motto to win back seats.

Already under way.

quote:

"A member of Congress told me Democrats big 2018 slogan, which is set to be released Monday. It's: 'Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages'" tweeted Vox congressional reporter Jeff Stein on Thursday. He later deleted that tweet and corrected it by noting the full slogan was actually "A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages."

Look familiar? It should.

Combine that with the 1100+ seats lost on all levels of government and here we are.

Yet they think promoting Russia every day with their media is going to turn things around.

I am still of the opinion that HRC could not have beat anyone BUT Trump, and she squandered that chance by running the most pathetic campaign in American history. Thank GOD she was infected with the "IT's MY TURN" virus.

I think Trump was the only one who could win on the GOP side this past election. He was the only one who was going to bring in the number of blue collar workers he did, and flip states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Penn.

No other GOP politician was going to ruthlessly fight the media like Trump did, going against political correctness hard and also having name recognition which attracted people from all over. His anti-establishment/outsider moniker was the perfect storm.

The Democrats wanted Trump to get the nomination. All of the Dems on this board said so. "Oh, please, let Trump be the nominee".. followed by emoticons.

Schumer was on Steph's This Week today, and was pretty impressive. The Mogul of Mainstream blasted Trump, TrumpCare, and added suggestions of how he can employ 10 million Americans, and give the middle class tax relief.

So why didn't Schumer do all this when Obama had a super majority?

Oh that's right, they were too busy paying back cronies with a trillion dollar "stimulus" followed by shoving the Obamacare disaster down our throats.

It really too easy. It's like picking on a short bus kid.

Luckily I don't feel bad.

I love the obstruction cries from the Left. They conveniently forget they had a supermajority in 2008. And then progressively (pun intended) lost it over four election cycles. The most common argument I hear offered is gerrymandering did them in. Because it had nothing to do with a rejection of their socially extreme agenda.

Gerrymandering.....

Another item that's like picking on a short bus kid. This action has really gotten us some solid Dem leaders, hasn't it?
