If there was something he could use against the administration in the documents he would have damn well commented on it
I'll do him one better - if there was something in the documents that could be used it would have been leaked by now and he'd be commenting on it

If you're on the opposing in, your statement shouldn't include that once Nunes got the documents, he the needed to brief the WH what was really in them. Unless . . . . they were pretty damning
Basically, Trump folks had stuff that looked odd, but didn't know how odd, until Nunes took them to Trump to tell him what he was sitting on, politically

He is free to comment on basics like "Were Trump's people spied on?" He doesn't have to give away much or comment on specifics, but I don't think such a statement would have been illegal.
