Look I like human all rights for people who deserve it, but I also applaud this approach for those that act like animals. They need to fear repercussions.

But, since they did not seek to become Shahid (bet they wish they had now though), the best deterrence is to do above to a kidnapped family member, preferably first born male but a wife will do.
These guys had semi-Mongol features to me. I suspect Kazakh, Uzbek (who has been infused with Wahhabism before Korimov died), or Tajik.
Any of those governments/dictatorships will gladly give Putin their families to avoid being declared a terrorist neighbor (see Afghanistan circa 1979) AND keep the diamonds/gold flowing to the elites.
ETA: And I've long held the belief that Kazakhstan was on Putin's top-3 lands to invade and is the next target for a pressure campaign behind Ukraine. Be interesting to see if it turns out they did originate from or are of Kazakh origin.
