Robert Costello- Cohen’s former attorney

Testified at Congressional subcommittee today. Basically Cohen told him he ran the entire Stormy payoff scheme and Trump didn’t know about it. Also Cohen tried to sandbag Costello and Giuliani with the US attorney saying they offered Cohen a pardon if he kept his mouth shut. Costello met with the US attorney and brought the receipts on Cohens lies. Cohen was trying to get a get out of jail free card. Costello is a former US attorney and pretty respected white collar criminal attorney.
Costello met with Bragg’s office the day before the grand jury met and laid all of this out. They ignored his information and now are suborning perjury.
Robert Gouviea breaks down all of this in a YT video. Good stuff starts at 1:20.
There is some chatter that Trump may call Costello to discredit Cohen.
BTW Cohen signed a letter releasing attorney client privilege so Costello is free to talk.

Not one story about this on any of the MSM outlets.

Sounds like a good witness for Trump to call. This judge should grant a directed verdict at the close of the State’s case based on the total failure to offer sufficient proof beyond a reasonable doubt or to prove any underlying felony offense.

Turley is discussing it on Fox right now.

That's all fine. But the attorney in me wonders if Costello should be talking about anything his former client told him about. If Cohen released him in that way, one wonders what game is Cohen playing? Example: Tacopina left Trump's team and undoubtedly due to issues or conflicts with his client but he isn't talking.....which is what he should do. Costello is however.
Maybe he told Costello after he has been released?
Maybe he told Costello after he has been released?

Prosecution: We object to Mr. Costello being called! It destroys our case!
Judge Merchan: Sustained.
Defense: Your Honor, we have the right to impeach...
Judge Merchan: Alright counselor, I'm holding you in contempt for defending the biggest threat to democracy in my lifetime!

First and Foremost Cohen signed a waiver of client/attorney privilege
Cohen has tried to trash Costello's integrity and reputation. He is outing Bragg and the prosecution for ignoring facts about Cohen's lies and intent.

I'm am guessing he will be the only witness Trump calls once Merchan denies the motion for directed verdict.

Cohen had to sign a release of attorney client privilege to work out a plea deal with the US attorney's office. Cohen screwed himself by lying to the US AO and the FBI by telling them that Costello had dangled a Trump pardon to him if he didn't talk. That was a lie and he was caught in it.

I’m shocked the WSJ didn’t have an article about Costellos testimony this morning. Shocked.

Maybe because Costello felt more than a little annoyed that Cohen tried to lie to the US Attorney’s Office that Costello tried to bribe Cohen ?????
