I'm holding out hope you are correct.. Trump can't afford to go all in with this bill.
I understand negotiate so lets do it. Bring Rand's plan and Paul's and let us work this out. That is how deals are done. If they stay stubborn or if Trump goes all for this plan of Paul Ryan's my personal Trump wagon will be beginning to lose it's wheels.

Trump is pushing it because he knows it's the only way he can get is foot in the door without relying on Democrats.
If he could get 8 Democrats on board you'd see Trumpcare. But he can't so he has to rely on Ryan and McConnell parliamentary procedures to open the hood of the ACA bill. Through phases 2, 3 and probably a few more ACA will morph into Trumpcare. It's going to take some time though.

Open the hood?? It is musical chairs and sleight of hand tricks.. Cheap illusionist tricks.
But, I see your point. They think if they can get anything passed by the Republicans this time, a better version can be rolled out later and passed all the same. For this to work would mean that the plan is showing progress in the REAL WORLD.. That is where it fails. Nothing exists in a vacuum and this plan won't fix anything in the short-term or long.
If you wish to fix it, then replace it with a total repeal. It will hurt a lot of health care providers I know this in the short-term, but a plan that would actually truly work in the REAL WORLD means that in time we will overcomb. We need to take our medicine now before the patient dies later.
