with regards to bastille day, he is correct
liberals, though not rich. And they're the segment of people wearing these clothes that feels it makes them more sophisticated and serves as a symbol of social/financial status that most of them actually haven't achieved. Young professional liberals, trying to be hip but not hipster. fricking lame.
again, clothes are clothes. wear what you like, wear what you think looks good, wear what is comy, but for the love of god you can tell when someone is trying to make a statement for their clothes...you look ridiculous.
This is why I hate white linen night. I'm not wearing my nice clothing to that shite. Weddings, christenings, formal parties (easter parties), horse races...these are the things seersucker should make an appearance at. Your just having a party so you can dress up instead of a party that happens to include formal attire.
