The VA is/was already hot garbage most places. I get 70% disability meaning all of my healthcare and medicine through them would be free but most of the time I use private insurance and see my local doctor because they’re just so much better. Im not sure what there is left to take from the VA. And I’m in the Charleston system (Savannah) which is one of the better regarded ones in the country.

We have gotten to the point where new laws do no good since they don’t follow the existing ones we have. The dollars for the VA are for veterans care. That should be an impeachable offense in and of itself. Unfortunately nothing will come of it.

VA Healthcare would be a lot better if it was just a network insurer like BCBS. People on disability get it free or discounted based on %, offer it to businesses as a packaged for veterans so employees, discount for veteran owned business, etc...

During my time in service, I used to privately joke about how one day I expect to be standing in line BEHIND illegal aliens to obtain the health care benefits that the US military promises to all Retirees and their spouses.

If more veterans showed allegiance to the Democrat party, this wouldn't be necessary. Illegals do, therefore, they get the money.
