To provide protection for Democrats and the entities they work for.

Their entire purpose is to give the illusion to their base that they are represented.

This is a very important job. They are their to sedate the very people who could potentially pose a threat to the system. These same people instead go about their lives led to believe they are being represented and the Republicans are fighting on their behalf.

If people knew they were under the thumb of a one party state, there is a chance they would rebel, and reject this authoritarian state. They know this, and that is why they continue to exist.

As I posted yesterday, incumbents run on a few issues and do not want to talk about other issues. If you don't believe it, go to a townhall and ask them a tough question on another topic... I'll suggest one (and I have a LOT) ... "do you think federal law should require two party consent before a Big Tech company reads the personal email of one of their customers?" They won't even know what you are taking about.

By sticking to those four or five talking point issues (that many on here fall for), they have an open door to add stuff to unrelated bills and most constituents never even know the stuff got passed.

In that same post yesterday, I posted that the two party system needs to be busted up. This would make those behind the scenes deals harder to happen. Pelosi, for example, would not have been able to just heard the DEM cats, but multiple groups of independent thinking Reps. The two party system needs to die before our country does.

As crazy as it sounds to us, Democrats say the same thing. And the truth is in the middle - both parties are controlled by the deep state establishment and serve the establishment, not the American people. They give enough to each side to keep power, and generally stand to oppose change that does not benefit the establishment, or create change which does. Most change does not benefit the establishment, so little real change is made. Issues of low consequence to the deep state are given precedence to keep other issues out of the minds of voters, and conflicts are created to keep voters occupied. We are all pawns in a great scheme

You’re correct.

Go to any liberal af site like DU or Reddit and you’ll see tons of liberals complaining that their side is just giving the Republican whatever they want and the Dems are only there as controlled opposition
