He was a witness to the security guard getting shot.

After getting shot, the guard told the maintenance worker to dive for cover. As bullets were ripping down the hallway, the worker screamed into his walkie talkie that a shooting was in progress on the 32nd floor. The Mandalay Hotel knew there was an incident in progress within seconds of the first shot ringing out - a full six minutes before Paddock set his sites on the crowd down below.

So what the hell happened? Why didn't the 911 call go out sooner?

I am going to guess that they have a no cell phone policy. But, really that is just a guess and walkie talkie would be the fastest thing to alert others to call.

Bullets flying, thousands scattering and people being shot at multiple locations.

I mean if I had a radio that connected to a central dispatch, and someone started shooting at me, I am going to quickly say something to dispatch and focus on staying safe.

If this guy had a cellphone (big assumption for maintenance guys), that takes more time than just pressing the button on your radio.

Is it confirmed they actually saw Paddock?

Or did "he" shoot through the door based on the cameras?

Regardless of what happened, which I doubt we will ever really know, the FBI has done an absolutely abysmal job at communicating with the public and this will be used as a case study in how not to handle post-incident management.

If it isn't incompetence then one has to give more credence to the fact that the FBI is covering up something. When you have the Special Agent in Charge tell the public the most powerful law enforcement entity in the world is going to put a billboard up to generate leads, you know something is wrong.

The way I read this story the maintenance guy didn't see Paddock. He heard the shots ten saw Campos.

Campos hasn't said anything, so what he did or did not see is still unknown. This actually goes a decent ways toward corroborating the details of the case.

MGM is clenching its butthole about this delay. Their spokeswoman declined to comment. Also another good reason why MGM might want to keep reporters away from Campos if he doesn't want to talk.

My sentiment from the get-go...the public either knew more than they should early on or they just suck...

I'm inclined to believe they are covering up, which heads in the direction of the gun-running op or other strangeness...

Strange that he would be the purchaser of the weapons if that were the case, though (fbi would supply)...unless he was not a contractor of the FBI, which means he could be CIA or really selling to someone.

Is there any actual coherent narrative behind this theory? Is there actually a single bit of positive evidence of the theory other than "strangeness" about the official story?

Not much except...

ISIS claimed the attack, which may or may not mean gun running
ISIS said they would get Vegas, which adds somewhat to the veracity (not much)
The Anon post the following night about it being an ISIS deal gone bad, that assumes he was working for the FBI...this is the post that said the Sheriff will hint at something, and he said the following day he was compromised
The deletion of federal internet files with his name on it...including CIA ties to his aircraft
No regular internet presence (not uncommon for a 60-something)
His travel record is extensive out of country to places where nefarious activity happens (Clark AFB PI area)
His GF was put on HS travel watch

None of it was hard, but leads me to weigh some credit to some craziness...
There was even some internet chatter about selling to ANTIFA...which would get to a FBI vs CIA thing

On the other hand is the psychotropic drug angle...
I don't want to scream MKULTRA, but with those "behind the curtains" erasing of his records combined with these drugs?
CIA does this.
We know Mossad uses these techniques and Israel has access to the top floors of that building...
It's not beyond the realm of possibility that he was a tool.

Why would anyone prescribe this stuff...and investigating it is nearly impossible due to d/p. Unless the doc wants to talk...i would start there if Danley's testimony holds any water (which might be none)

The bubble of employers not letting maintenance people carry their cellphones? Not really a bubble.

I see. I thought you meant maintenance workers wouldn't own them. My apologies in this instance.

Maybe - just maybe - the maintenance worker is an illegal immigrant who speaks no English and definitely didn't want to get caught up in this debacle. Deportation at the very least - possibly wrongly tied into a conspiracy web??
