I think the point is when people are trying to beat you over the head with spending under Trump, the republicans have allowed it both before and after him.
That is, Congress is in charge of spending. And whether the individuals are “MAGA” or not is largely dependent on whether they benefit from that distinction.

I left the Republican Party in 2014 when the Washington State Republican Party registered me to vote there without my consent or authorization (I was a Texas Resident on Active Duty), then tried to claim I pledged to donate and owed them money.
I had to threaten to get the Attorney General's office involved if they didn't cease and desist.
I can't hijack a party I'm not a member of. Unlike you I am a conservative, NOT a Republican.
I voted against both McCain and Obama I. 2008 and am proud that I never cast a vote in any primary.
