I thought you were for the "public good". Reducting or eliminating PEC coverage will make insurance cheaper for almost everyone beside the slim minority of PEC patients. Why do you hate healthy people?

BONUS: It's not even true. PEC coverage continues in the ACHA in slmost every circumstance.

That number rises to 51M with the passage of AHCA.

So roughly the same as before Obamacare. Sounds good.

Estimates are 28M in 2026 without insurance if the ACA is left untouched.

The ACA is going to literally murder 28M minority children in the streets in 2026, and you want to keep it?

"we have to pass it to see what's in it" is not exactly the ringing endorsement of transparency

This isn't what the CBO found - premiums for everyone will rise due to the insufficiencies in the AHCA.

Well then, that's not really insurance if you buy it AFTER you wreck the car, now is it? Comparing apples to oranges.

Was the text of the bill public months prior to the votes or not?

I didn't realize people were entitled to free health care, so ripping it from them seems like taking something they didn't really have.

Don't kid yourself. She has no stake in the hospital's bottom line. Hourly employees rarely do.

fixed your title.

Insurance does not help when no doctors take your insurance and you go to the ER for free care anyway.

I wish the GOP would leave the law alone and let it fail on its own (lack of) merits.

Anyone who thinks the government should be in chart of any sector of our economy is not worth debating because they likely have a head injury.

Because by imposing lifetime maximums again will automatically lead to higher premiums.

Oh, PEC exclusions will also lead to higher premiums.

Dear lawd have mercy.

Yes and no.
The house version was public in July 2009 and passed in November. It changed a bit from the proposal in July or it wouldn't have passed.

The Senate version was different than the House version. The House passed the Senate version in March 2010.
