Remind me again why we want Mashed Potato POTUS not to be on the 2024 ticket?

I’m not understanding why Hannity’s of the world and some prominent folks under on X are saying he is unfit and needs to be replaced.
Why?
We want that demented moron at the head of the ticket, don’t we?
You lose all his failures to run on if he’s replaced.
I really wish they would STFU and let the old man go down in flames.

Anyone with a brain wants him to be on the ticket… those that don’t are cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Another train of thought is that once it becomes obvious that the Democrat Party was propping up a dementia patient as President, they will have a real credibility issue.
This could be used against Democrats up and down the ticket in the fall. The Democrats will spend all of their time trying to defend why they kept Joe in office for so long when it was plain to see he wasn't all there and they were covering for him.
Video clips of all of his missteps and verbal gaffes will be played ad nauseum. With all the noise from this scandal, they will have problems getting people to even acknowledge that there is a new Democrat candidate.
I originally thought this was too early to start removing him, but now I see that the timing is about right. They need time to figure out who the new candidate will be (as if they don't already know) and for this scandal to die down.

Trump already lost to Biden and will lose again. Nothing will change. If Republicans were serious about winning in 2024 they would have nominated literally anyone but Trump and got a W. But, they didn't
