Regarding the recent left wing "influx" of posters to the poliboard

Disclaimer: not a complaint thread; I prefer more intellectual diversity
The most interesting thing that sticks out to me regarding the recent influx of left wing posters to the board is this: many of them have had accounts for years yet did not post ONCE on the poliboard during the election season. Three examples of this are FaninLa LoneDMG, and Zunic.
The reason why this interests me is because it completely puts to bed the hypothesis thrown out by many on here that the recent influx is because the democrats "smell blood in the water". If indeed blood in the water is what attracts liberals to the poliboard, why were so many of these posters absent during the pussy-gate episode, or the post-DNC phase when khangate sent hillary's lead to wide margins? Why were so many current leftwing posters on here absent in the late october and early november days when poll after poll showed her winning? That is blood and yet many liberals still did not come here.
The question then becomes: why visit the board to be rabidly anti-trump now instead of starting your posting during the actual election, when you still could have beaten him?
A new hypothesis of this curious trend is this: marginal democrats who disliked both candidates have been brought to action by the presence of trump. His very act of sitting in that oval office desk has made them realize that to beat him, they need to cast aside their personal dislike of the democratic party and fully embrace it to take on the menace.
In short, this board is proof that a liberal tea-party may be forming.

I'm not Left wing. I just think Trump is an embarrassment.

FALSE.
Alter creation on this site and others follows a very particular pattern.
Alter is created. lots of meaningless posts in innocuous locations of a non political topic.
then when they seem to have enough 'cred' they go active.
watch, they come in waves. The last wave was here during the election and is now gone. this is the next wave and is likely the same people on the keyboard.
there is no liberal tea party.

No.

If the nutbags on the left splinter like the nutbags on the right did, maybe the moderates on both sides of the aisle can find common ground and form a coalition of the reasonable.

The democrats elect their DWS Chair replacement in a few weeks.
There is infighting. Sanders wants Ellison. Obama/Clintons want Thomas Perez, who was President Obama's secretary of labor. The Bernbots are saying Perez is 'establishment.'
They have a bad schism because they have to go further left to please BernBots; and that turns off Trump Democrats.

There is no liberal Tea Party. The people on the left are far more dangerous to democracy. These grpups are not in their infancy they have existed for a long time.

Continuing the tradition of being afraid of your own identity.
So many "moderates" that will never say anything even neutral of Trump or the Republican party, and will never disparage even the worst of the Democrat party (save for the occasional "there are plenty of things to bash [Pelosi/Reid/Warren/Clinton], but this isn't one"). Talk to a want and asurob (still alive?). They will guide you on this failed endeavor.
You'd do better to just own your ideology. This attempt to appear outside of the bubble or impartial is too transparent.

If they go further left and nominate Bernie or Warren, they are DOA.
