Which had far less teeth than Graham Cassidy and only repealed a couple mandates and didn't do shite to cut medicaid like the current bill does.

His complaint that GrahamCassidy preserves too much of ObamaCare would actually be legit if he had not voted for the skinny repeal. But it's not and he looks like a moron fighting against a bill that has more teeth that actually reforms medicaid, gives more power to the states to shape HealthCare how they need it and repeals the mandates.

I'm starting to believe the theory that Rand is only a grandstander and/or controlled opposition at this point.

I voted Rand Paul in the 2016 primaries long after he had dropped out and I'm not above saying that he looks like a phony hypocrite voting for the lame and much weaker skinny repeal but still be railing against the much stronger Graham Cassidy bill that has more teeth.

The man is not Jesus who has all the answers and it's beyond weird how libertarians/conservatives treat him as such.

If he wasn't such a libertarian firebrand and had a voting record to back that up, Rand Paul would be outing himself as a fraud right now.

Just today Rand Paul said he would not vote for it even if they changed it. This says a lot. It is sad, because they all fooled us, Rubio, Ryan and so on. I thought Rand Paul was one of the good guys.

Rand Paul is no better than the prisoner McCain in this instance.

Like all politicians Rand is full of shite, he just knows how to produce enough red meat to appeal to the base that thinks it's libertarian.

Look through my post history and you can see that I’ve been calling Rand Paul for a cuck since last year. Majority people always downvoted those posts, but I told you and no one listened lol

I do find it funny that McCain has received triple the criticism of Rand on here.

Well I feel like Medicaid itself is almost a seperate part of the discussion itself. It expanded with Obamacare, but it was already in existence. Besides, Rand has been in support of block grants for Medicaid for some time. The skinny repeal didn't prevent that from occurring.

gives more power to the states to shape HealthCare how they need it
So now we have 50 incompetent and increasingly bloated government entities starting from essentially scratch and forced to implement a policy they didn't create and likely didn't want in the first place.

and repeals the mandates.
That's the thing. If you think the policy is terrible and are opposed to the individual mandate, then why would you support the same terrible policy absent the mandate, since its absence likely makes the policy even more terrible.

And your highlighting a recent vote which wasn't in opposition? Regardless who or what exactly is he supposed to be opposing?
