Yes, that glorious melt, if melting means patiently reading to a 5 year old.

How much in taxes are these "citizens" paying into the treasury? Of course you would want a third world country as an extra state, you're a communist.

Aaaand he doubles down. Go ahead and look up Puerto Rico and Congressional representation.

Tell you what- figure out the complexities of the apostrophe and come back with your point.

Wiki so take it for what it's worth:

Though the Commonwealth government has its own tax laws, Puerto Ricans are also required to pay most US federal taxes, with the major exception being that most residents do not have to pay the federal personal income tax. In 2009, Puerto Rico paid $3.742 billion into the US Treasury.

I came unglued years back when my brother lived down in McAllen, TX. Said Mexicans would walk across the bridge from their country to ours to go shopping. They did not have to pay a penny in sales tax. I ask why and he replied so American businesses could get more business and the government agreed with them.

Go ahead and look up Puerto Rico and representation in Congress. Also look up if PR was excluded from military drafts.

How do you know some of those receiving treatment weren't veterans themselves?

So we can rely on your vote to grant them statehood?

Excellent!

What's the problem?

Were they leaching off the system without paying into it somehow?
