Does anybody else think this is kind of a snooty dig that's done intentionally? Or am I over thinking it.

I guess I do the same when I call him Piyush instead of Bobby.

From the outside, this guy looks like a great governor. Why all the hate?

I can honestly say I've never heard that. But, I tend to focus on substance and not form.

He's been extremely bad for Louisiana. I'm not sure where you got the "great" notion, but his policies have crippled many state institutions, and his economic development policies have done little to stimulate the state.

We are a great climate for businesses at the moment, but only because those policies gut taxpayers in favor of businesses.

He's bright, but a phony. His big ethics reform movement was and is a cynical joke. Exempts his office from any real oversight or ethics legislation. As mentioned above, business growth has been good, but it's due to a combination of post-Katrina luck and giveaways.

Plus, he's a flaming a-hole.

I dont get all the hate either.. When the rest of the country suffered we did fine. People dont like the fact that he tightened the budget and complain about the "giveaways" but the fact is private business specifically manufacturing has flourished under Jindal.

We didn't suffer during the downturn because we had not really had a great economy that boomed before like much of the country.

Much of the states great economic growth lately has been because of oil and the natural gas boom and Katrina money, which is still helping things.

I give him credit for not being a corrupt dumbass

Spends all of his time in Iowa and New Hampshire instead of doing his job.

Other than that, he's basically a first round draft bust. He's been a disappointment to business conservatives (by not pursuing comprehensive fiscal reform), good government types (lack of meaningful ethics reform and choosing career crooks as legislative leaders), and even social conservatives (he publicly endorsed making the pill available over the counter).

I agree with him. Point is socons don't like it. And the Louisiana GOP is a coalition of three political groups: economic conservatives, social conservatives, and good government/ethics types (the third group being Republican thanks to Crookwards).

You give him too much credit on the corruption part. I'll stipulate that he's fairly bright.
