These platitudes Progressives tell themselves have become the most rigid of Orthodoxies. They are a Fundamentalism meant to socialize Progressive expectations and normalize what has previously been unacceptable. They honestly and sincerely believe that Free Speech has run it's course and that those who don't exhibit sufficient fealty to The Holy Principles of Progressivism Should have both their rights to Speech and physical security suspended, as needed , in accordance to and in service of Progressive policy goals.

This is a dangerous period, a period where violence and Free Speech suppression is being normalized via Progressive moral vanity and self-righteousness . We have been told this week that violence is peace and that Speech is violence. And this makes men who value Truth very sad and wary of what lies ahead. And very few Men of The Left have had the wisdom or moral courage to step up and warn their fellow Progs of the dangers of this approach.

These events are de facto trial runs for committing violence and suppressing Speech of those whom they believe truly deserve whatever the Mob gives them. And every sad display of Progressive excess just normalizes it further. Where this goes has not yet been determined, but if Men of Principle do not intervene American Constitutionalism and the Rule of Law will be effectively over.

They've gone Lord of the flies and it's going to be hard to stop this without violence.

this would mean allowing them to engage in violence first

even the finest swordsman does not relish going up against the club wielding barbarian

I'm not sure if or when there is a point where principles must be set aside in order to survive.

Even worse, are the number of self-styled "conservative" virtue signalers, who seem more afraid of possibly being lumped in with TRUMP, and are, therefore, more than happy to acquiesce and in many cases even join in on the chorus of this bizarre contrived movement.

Odd times indeed.

Robespierre started as an explicit opponent of non-violence. He reportedly became a convert to violence when he saw how it animated the crowds and helped recruitment. Bloodlust is always a good marketing tool and the Left is not immune to its siren song.

The fact they are now stating that speech is the equivalent of actual physical violence is quite disturbing.

I've heard "criticism is a form of violence" many times in the last few years. And, whenever I see some student lobbying to get something changed/removed from a school, they always pull the same line. "I don't feel safe because there's some statue somewhere or some university policy that isn't leftist enough." "Don't feel safe?" bullshite.

I've said numerous times that the "snowflake" label is ignorant. They only feign weakness as a way of manipulating people. College kids claiming they feel "unsafe" is intended to trigger a parental instinct in those who decide policy. It's not weakness. It's pure manipulation.

Pimp puts is perfectly with "violence is peace and speech is violence." Repeat that all over social media and elsewhere. The reality of this statement as it pertains to the manipulative bullshite of the left is a really good way to simply illustrate how twisted their thinking is.

I've said all along that it was going to take violence and a lot of it to tamp this down.

More accurately it's almost exactly Animal Farm. That's a perfect example.

They're evolving the slogans and the sheep are belting them out:

Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. No animal shall wear clothes.

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

Four legs good, two legs bad

Four legs good, two legs better!
