It's hilarious that Trump continues to let the word know just how butthurt he is with SNL and Baldwin

You're too short-sighted to see it, but eventually even the butthurt little snowflakes such as yourself will grow tired of the wall-to-wall Trump skits on SNL & return to your normal Saturday night rituals. You know, like having your nails done, reciting the Communist Manifesto, and blanching your kale for Sunday brunch.

SNL has parodied ever President since forever. Pussy Grabber is the only one that's so insecure that it hurts his tender feelings. Bless his heart.

I'm old enough to have seen every cast that SNL has had and there is a huge difference in their impersonations between a lib and republican in office...

Whenever there has been a republican in office their impersonations are made to make them look foolish, cartoonish, and down right unintelligent and that is purposely done because of their hatred for the right...

There is finally a POTUS that is calling them out on their hypocrisy and double standards and that is why they and the media are all bent out of shape about it and are the butthurt ones...

We're discussing it on a message board. That'a all. We're not out dressed up like vaginas or in black gear rioting and protesting. Quite a difference don't you think?

I think Trump could have an opportunity here - he could agree to do a sketch where he coaches up Baldwin on how to do the impression. Not sure he sees it, though.

That's actually a very good idea. Not sure either party would ever go far it, though.

I wake up every day THRILLED that Donald J. Trump is President. But, even I can see that he can't take a joke very well. Of course, SNL obviously has an anti-Trump agenda. They didn't lay a glove on Obama in 8 years.

Obama can't take a joke, either, unless he knows he's on friendly ground with somebody l ike Ellen.

Yeah, which only makes him more interesting. Here he is , a billionaire real estate populist , with no real ideological anchor, somehow becoming the blood enemy of " his people" because he dared to spill their sordid little secrets and upset the status quo. What a maverick, and what a quintessentially American alpha move.

Very slowly, CD. Very, very slowly.

This will probably warm your heart (and a few others), but I've actually started eating some of that crap since I was diagnosed with pre-diabetic symptoms. So, get your shots in now. I'll be dead soon.

Except they were not.

Plenty of cast members took a stab at impersonating Trump but it didn't hit pay dirt until Baldwin did it.

So how much more wrong would you like to be about this?

Pretty much every setting like that, Obama was reading of the same scripted teleprompter as the host. His response time on off the cuff talk is pathetic. Takes the stuttering idiot a minute to respond to a simple yes or no question...probably because he is trying to figure out how to incorporate "me" and "I" into it as much a possible.

So, they just never found the right cast member to impersonate Obama? That's what's responsible for the spike in ratings? They found the perfect actor to portray Trump?

No. Ratings-wise, the best thing that ever happened to SNL is the election of Donald Trump. You have to know that.

PS - There's only one current cast member who could've hung with the all-time best that SNL has ever had. That's Kate McKinnon. I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and she's a star in that format.

Yes, Baldwin excels in sketch comedy, too. His DeNiro impression was as good as anything. But, what the hell is Baldwin even doing as a de facto regular member of the cast? He was always above that. In fact, I think he's hosted the show more than anybody.

But, his Trump impression is a little too campy. Darrell Hammond does a more accurate Trump impression.

There is a clear difference in highlighting ones tendencies, and making up garbage to spew out of the impersonators mouth, as if that person said those things. SNL writers HATE conservatives. They will always pose them as killers, idiots, pervs, etc

Yep. People still believe Sarah Palin said that she "can see Russia from my house." She never said it, but because Tiny Fey said it, a lot of people think it actually happened.

It's much more caricature than impression...
