President Trump is doing work in the ME. How long before he gets a Nobel Peace Prize?

I would be surprised if he got one even if some sort of lasting peace was established due to his involvement. Obama got one before doing anything. It's a meaningless award these days.

I went back and read up on that. It seems that they gave it to him more on the potential of what he would do and what his vision was for a world filled with peace and without nuclear weapons. He hadn't actually done anything, yet, except give speeches about a world without war or nuclear weapons. They liked his speeches and his "values".
I have a feeling that President Trump could negotiate a real peace treaty in the middle east, and they still wouldn't like his "values" enough to give him the award. Emotions, not results, are what matters.

I looked at the Norwegian Nobel Committee's justification for giving President Obama the award, and they basically said that he gave everyone, "HOPE". Nothing more. He was just such a stud that they gave him a guaranteed $120 million contract before he ever played a down.
