re: President to Speak at 11:35est

There are going to be many small companies under 50 people that drop insurance and let their employees go to the exchanges. Our company is about 23 people. We already pay about 175K a year for premiums through BCBS. My broker is telling me to expect hefty increases when we get our renewals next month.

re: President to Speak at 11:35est
The administration met with insurance CEOs on October 23rd so some of this ground might have already been covered.

My concern about keeping your policy is that the ACA is one big Ponzi Scheme - money from healthy people and folks who make "too much" money is going to subsidize the plans of others. If the subsidizers keep their existing plans, how are the subsidies going to be funded?

Rates for those on older plans will certainly increase.

Theoretically it's people like me, young healthy, who would get screwed on the rates. Mine go up to offset my grandma's.

But if everyone increases that much so that hers stay the same as they are now, mine become essentially unaffordable as a result.

This Presidency will go down in the books as a primer on how to rule the nation as a tyrant when all is said and done. His signature and the spiders web of organization in the executive umbrella making regulations is not a funny thing to fathom at all. It will be hard to imagine the number of Presidential pardons on his last day in power in their sheer vastness.

There isn't enough storage space on that teleprompter for all those.

Barry can’t talk his way out of this one. But I hear the bus has some new tires.

He might not, but the media will be running with this "fix".

I agree it will be a clusterfrick. I don't see another way out, though.

Will the President be taking questions? I highly doubt it, but just curious.

I'm curious to how Obama will "make" insurance companies reinstate plans. No way he can make them do a thing without legislation.

According to CNN, an Obama aide told them he is allowing a one year extension to those who lost coverage.
