If I were a conservative I would prefer him any day over the current occupant.
It's not like if Trump gets tossed Biden or Clinton get the job.

I like Pence. It's a shame he won't be President any time soon since Trump will stay in office, winning like he does, for the next 7+ years.

I like Pence and his social conservatism, but he doesn't have the willingness to wreck his critics and push towards an actual cultural shift where news media is doubted. I fear he'd allow a narrative to be built against him and whatever act he's pushing thereby forcing him to soften.
But, all of the above is moot as he won't be president till 2024.
