Prop 67 passed - Plastic bags are now verboten in the People's Socialist Republik of Kalifornia. 5,730,004-for 5,154,455 - against
This pisses me off so much.
I keep forgetting to get my reusable bags when I go into the People's grocery store.

I like it. reducing plastic in our lives and the environment is a good thing.

But paper bags are made out of trees and that causes deforestation and destroys the habitats of the little civet. Don't you like civets?

Just a general statement for when people who dont even live there start crying about it. Is it ok with you if I say that?

I feel your pain buddy. ATX has had the ban since 2013, no thanks in part to many of your former comrades transplanted from the Republik of Kalifornia.

Of course. I was just curious as to your angle. I see, I'm able to confirm it's as stupid as I suspected.

As much as this is a stupid law, plastic bags do cause a major litter problem...
Side note, ever get one wrapped around your drive shaft...?

My biggest complaint would be figuring out what to pick up my dog's crap with if I didn't come home with 10 plastic bags a week.

This is a good thing.
Everyone should use reusable bags.

Just follow their scold up with the People's Eyebrow and if they give you any lip, the People's elbow.

That's not how autoerotic asphyxiation works.

I went to a convenience store in Austin this summer to pick up some water and Mt. Dew.
The lady behind the counter asked me for by bag. I had no idea about the law so I said if she was out I would make do. She told me about the law and sold me a plastic bag anyway.
