"even from #Omicron"...

Aspirin is 99.7% effective to prevent sever disease or death from Omicron. So stick it Pfizer.

The even from Omicron part makes me question everything. You mean the disease that hasn't caused serious illness or death?

It’s weird how the placebo groups in these Pfizer studies all do worse than the regular population.

Hospitalization rate: 7%
Mortality rate: 1.5%

Weird how all the Pfizer drugs end up 90% effective.

Omicron is the sniffles with virtually no likelihood of death. I ain’t giving Pfizer a bit of my money.

What is the percentage of people who get COVID who experience serious illness or death? Is it greater than 10%?

They’re using relative risk reduction.

So if 10 people out of 1000 on placebo get clinical endpoint A and 1 out of 1000 on treatment get clinical endpoint A, then it’s 90% reduction. Even though your absolute reduction is .99%.

Which is roughly what was happening with the vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine’s absolute risk reduction (pre-delta) was well under 1%. Meaning over 100 people had to take the vaccine to prevent one case of Covid (which means around 17,000 people had to be vaccinated to prevent one death - that number doubled 6 months out from vaccination).

This is how big pharma makes billions. Absolute risk reduction is nowhere near as sexy as relative risk reduction. It is how they bank big bucks from me too drugs when original drugs lose patents and go generic.

Let’s see the ingredients. Oh, you want us to wait 75 years to find out it’s ivermectin? Gotcha.

As a former Plavix rep, can confirm.

So stop talking about it and roll it the frick out already.

I have patients with families and young children nearing the end every day that desperately need it.
