This post is directed to Orleans Parish residents and registered voters.

Last Sunday, I went to a meeting at Rock N Bowl held by the Monumental Task Committee (pro-monument supporters.) This was attended by at least 500 people, maybe 1K. When this group of NOLA citizens were told about Mitch staying in office an additional 4 months, the reaction was "We didn't vote on this!!!!!!":

SAVE NOLA

And this is what the link is about:

Mayor Landrieu practices "Party Supremacy" as he influences State Senator RJ Morrell to contradict Morrell's values regarding state interference on local issues.

Here in May 2017 Senator RJ Morrell explains his views for the state not to interfere in City Business. ...

However under pressure from Mayor Mitch Landrieu in 2016, Morrell proposed Senate Bill 434 to allow Mitch an extra 4 months in office in 2018.

Now as Mayor, Mitch will be the host of New Orleans' Tri-Centennial in April 2018. Morrell's act went against the 2014 vote of the Citizens of New Orleans to remove Landrieu in January and the position of the League of Women Voters on good governance.

The Mayor and City Council elected in November 2017, were to be sworn into office in January 2018 until Morrell did Mitch a favor and hurt New Orleans.

Please download, sign and mail in the petition to force a vote to change bad policy and require those elected in 2017 to be able to address the fiscal challenges and issues of New Orleans starting in January 2018.

Don't allow Mitch Landrieu to continue being mayor of NOLA after the end of his term. (On a national level, would you want something like this for the POTUS????? Hell to the neaux!!!!!)

NOLA residents, please share this info with your friends/family.

Not that I agree with extending anyone's term but Mitch will probably be light years better during the national spotlight of the 300 anniversary of the city than whoever wins the next election

Sorry to disagree, but NOLA has surpassed Chicago in murder rate.

It is important that the new Mayor start work and get to work on the real issues NOLA has. Screw Landrieu and his hosting the tricentennial. Hosting a "party" is not as important as attempting to fix the problems that Mitch can't or won't or ignored while he has been fixated on removing statues of Lee, Davis and Beauregard.

Did you know that NOFD and NOPD were pulled off of regular duty during monument removal?

Did you know that NOPD were told to stand down, while violence was perpetrated against monument supporters?

Did you know that NOPD downgraded calls during the monument removal so that no NOPD officer left the monuments while murders were being committed???

The Landrieu administration has sucked. So did his sister's terms as Senator.

There is NO REASON on God's green Earth to allow this man to stay in office past January 2018 and if you're not a NOLA resident, there's really no reason to comment.
