I said before my wife speaks fluent French, and is usually the go to cabin crew member on her flights to Paris. She said 8/10 its a lot of attitude. Most the time the flight attendants will only speak German and English so a french speaker is an added bonus.
Paris isn't the worst place, but i feel its overrated due to the romance people think of it before hand.

Uh, no.
They just wouldn't allow me to speak French when I tried. I'm sure it was far from perfect, but I thought they'd appreciate the attempt. The crepe vendors were the worst. Dickholes.

You're preaching to the choir brother. Hell it was a challenge not to get perma-boner just running along the Neckar on a sunny day, especially in the summer.

I did a Google search on "chinese muslims france" and most everything that comes back is dealing with Muslim persecution against Chinese immigrants in France.
Edit: My gut instinct is that these are Chinese and Muslim immigrants rioting against each other in some low-income area.

It's not. Chinese people in Paris, and a mixture of leftists and Antifa are rioting because a Chinese father of a shite ton of kids was killed be the police.

France has the Antifa element just like we do. I hate those people. They aren't just regular protesters.
The Chinese community is up in arms right now too. It's similar to BLM here, for the most part. Just not as long lived.
