Fuel lines too, I would think. Desalination for several million Palestinians would be too energy-intensive to rely on trucking, and desalination plants don't run on smugness.

Did you even bother to read the article you linked? It discusses proposed states that were never offered to Jews, and plans for autonomous regions within existing countries. It is difficult to take you seriously when you resort to comparing fantasies with reality.

The only offer that was actually made was made in 1903, so it wasn't David Ben Gurion who delined the offer in 1905. It involved territory in what is modern Kenya that had a significant indigenous population.

Yes, I'll admit it. Unlike folks of your ilk, I categorically reject the Churchill ideology that White folks have a right to usurp non-White folks at their pleasure.
So what you are really saying is there should never be a Jewish homeland since it would be impossible to establish without displacing someone.

Usurping land from its occupants did not begin with Churchill. Throughout human history conquerors have usurped land from natives. And it hasn't been limited to whites displacing non-whites.

Not tyring to argue because both sides are wrong but please tell me you do realize that Israel could wipe out the Palestinians at any moment they wanted to but have not because of international pressure. I do not believe Hamas would have that restraint if they had the capability.

Holy God, did you even read your link?
The Argintine plan dates back to 1820!!And there's nothing out there to even prove it existed. One was proposed by NAZI GREMANY to relocate to Madigascar...another propossed by freaking Joseph Stalin!!!

Once again you provide links/statement like this it proves you guys can rarely if ever have an honest debate.Especially about Israel.

Story is complete bullshite. Simply Israeli propaganda. Sisi has no intention of giving away a piece of his country to the Palestinians. Have you people not been paying attention?

Ah Ha! The ole Zionist/Jewish controlled media trick! shoulda known better.

I've read this strory on about 4 different sites...2 of which are pretty reputable.

You have link to your "propoganda" slant?

Beyond that fact that we all know about the Jewish/Zionist world media conspiracy

Look pal, don't give me that Jewish/Zionist world media shite. This is not a new idea, but it is a strictly Israeli idea. If you think that Israel is above creating propaganda that puts them in a better light, then you are both ignorant and naive.

quote:

The report was brief and it was attributed to anonymous sources. It was also flatly denied by all parties involved, with Egyptian state media quoting Sissi as saying “no one can do that” and Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeinah releasing a statement saying no such proposal had ever been discussed.

quote:

The idea of of expanding the coastal enclave into Egypt has been broached in the past by Israeli academics and leaders -- who, in the view of many Palestinians, very much want to foist Gaza onto Egypt, in part to further split the population of Gaza from that of the West Bank.

In 2008, the former head of Israel's National Security Council, Giora Eiland, suggested Egypt transfer some of its land to help form a Palestinian state and in return Israel would ease its restrictions on Egypt’s military presence in the Sinai. Eiland's plan was to add a square at the northwestern tip of the Sinai Peninsula onto the 140-square-mile Gaza -- a space, according to Eiland, that is far too small to successfully support its more than 1 million residents. The plan was rejected at that time by Egypt.

Poor Palestinians. They don't ask for much. Don't want tons of land and autonomy. Just want to annihilate the Jews. Is that so much to ask?

Do any of them provide an independent source for the story besides IBTimes, which sourced "IDF Radio" for the claim?

Because I don't think it's going too far out on a limb to call "IDF Radio" an example of "Zionist-controlled media." Just saying.

That won't matter to the Palestinians if they don't have soveignty over their territorial waters and airspace.

And their rockets can't reach Israel as easily from the Sinai. So, there's that, too.

Hint: Land doesn't mean shite without water. The entire Sinai supports less than 1/3rd of Gaza's current population. That's because Gaza sits on the edge of a coastal aquifer and the Sinai has a handful of wadis (which are already stressed) and a whole lot of nothing else.
How much do desalination plants cost vs cost of continual war?

They don't have the money or manpower to build these plants, it's all being used on tunnels.

One of the plans trackfan linked us to was proposed by the Nazis. It was to create a Jewish state out of Madagascar.

I wonder what the "details" of that plan were???

What a load of crap!!!

Have you seen inside some of the tunnels that Hamas built? It's amazing that they were able to pull off something that sophisticated without heavy machinery. There's nothing that spurs man's ingenuity more than his desrie to figure new and creative ways to kill one another. I once read an article that specualted that WWII accelerated the production of the first nuclear power plant by 50 years. My guess is that the same is also true for satellites which benefitted from missle technology needed to make ICBM's.
