Overheard two AA ladies discussing Dove commercial

Very interesting convo. One lady was definitely more "woke" then the other.
Woke Lady: "what do you think they were trying to say?"
Sleepy Lady:. "I didn't get it so I ignored it."
Woke Lady wasn't super upset, but was planning to boycott dove.
I wanted to interject and ask if she would boycott all of Unilever
Also wanted to say based on my experiences with Madison Ave advertising firms it definitely was just poorly plan ad vs insult.
I checked my white privilege though and shut up.
Interesting though how on edge people are lately.

I don't think Dove was being racist, but the optics was bad considering what is going on nowadays. It's like the Vols trashcan.

Had a black lady take off her dirty shirt after using Dove and she turned into a white lady. But they don't tell you that after the white lady did the same thing she turned into a Spanish lady!
