Factually incorrect. Obama was the democratic establishment choice in 2008
Before the first primary or caucus he had over 250 more superdelegates assigned to him.
I knew he would be the democratic nominee after seeing the 2004 DNC convention. He was given the prime speaking time, the same as they did with Bill Clinton in 1988,.
You can watch their convention and pick who they plan on running(supporting with super delegates) every time.
In 2020 it is Corey Booker.

That's an interesting point. He had servants in Indonesia. Came to the US and went to one of the most expensive private high schools in America. From there he went to Occidental, Columbia and Harvard. We aren't allowed to see the school records, but he was admittedly a mediocre student so he either got in to those elite colleges because of rich benefactors or because he was black.
He became a community organizer in Chicago which requires one to be....you guessed it.. black. He parlayed the organizer gig into State Senator, then on to the US Senate. At what point was this guy who grew up off the mainland of the US, and lived a life of priveledge that only the top 1% ever get to experience, an underdog? Was it when he won the presidency as a 1-term senator with no accomplishments during that 4 years? You think his blackness hurt him in his quest to be president?
I think it was his trump card.
