When it comes to elections... the only thing Obama was good at doing was getting himself re-elected. He had no coat tails and never did. In fact, he had the opposite of coat tails.

NOT including the results of the election on Tuesday... here is the damage done by Obama to democrats.

Since 2008 and prior to the election this past week, the democrats have lost 910 legislative seats across the U.S. The Republicans had 7,383 legislative seats across the U.S. Don't have the results from Tuesday calculated but the carnage for the democrats across the U.S. was significant and will likely push the number of legislative seats lost upwards of 1000 democrats. Keep in mind that this represents a total swing of almost 2000 legislative positions. A YUGE number.

The democratic policies have been repeatedly rejected over the last 8 years in districts, states, etc... These are the numbers that are behind the Trump win this past Tuesday.

Obama and his policies have done major damage to the democrats despite what CNN, MSNBC, NBC, etc... are saying. He was a one man wrecking ball inside the party.

A high price to pay just so they could say they had the first black president.

These 50% + approval ratings are all smoke and mirrors.

He's been a shitty President. The shittiest since Carter. These numbers and Tuesday night bear that out.

That's because Obama was a fantastic campaigner but his policies totally blew donkey balls.

People could look past his polices because he was so persuasive and charismatic. However politicians without the same level of charisma stood no chance trying to sell those shitty policies.

This is the voting map by district/county in 2016. IF you look at the total number of districts/counties that are in red compared with blue... yikes.

35 states had double digit legislative seat losses for dems PRIOR to the Tuesday election. Not sure yet what happened on Tuesday but the dems losses will be significant and only add to the Obama carnage.

There are only 5 states under full control of Democrat governance.

Didn't Harry Reid try to insert a provision into a law that said, "Congress cannot vote to undo this law"?

Ohio Republicans gained a seat in both the Ohio House and Senate. They lead 66-33 in the house.

Democrats actually controlled the House from 2008-2010 when Obama won the presidency.

No they aren't.

Americans are genuinely proud of being the first 1st World Nation to elect a Black man to its highest office. Many Americans personally like Obama despite his policies. Half the country was even willing to elect HRC in his stead.

IMO he has been an awful President heading a corrupt Administration. 70% of the country believes we were on the wrong track, but if Obama and his "charming smile" had been on the ballot in 2016, he would likely have been elected again.

Still cant believe anyone is talking about "polls". When conducted by a paid party, they can be highly flawed.

In fact, Im surprised his approval rating is not much higher...

if your polling sample is limited to places like Berkely or inner city Detroit.

His approval rating is a total farce. I don't buy it's that high and if I learned anything from this election it's to not believe a damn thing you hear. The problem with the rating is it gets muddled with likability. Obama the personality is well approved of but Obama the President was a total disaster. The massive losses for Democrats like the OP referenced and the fact that he was so shitty that someone like Trump rose to power are undeniable facts the Left needs to come to terms with about Obama.

bump because the numbers from 2008 through Monday don't lie. You can see the damage Obama has done to the Dem party across the U.S. After the election on Tuesday all of these numbers are even worse for dems.
