Obama isn't too smart. He should have appointed someone with Republican ties to share the heat with.

I just said this morning that if he appoints an Ebola czar that it would be an incompetent spin artist

There are projects where people assign credit and projects where people assign blame.

You only need a Czar to accept blame for something gone wrong. If it were going well, Obama would be accepting credit.

Oh my, I can't say I'm shocked Obama picked politics over a smart choice.

Chuck Schumer is elated with the pick. I can rest easy now.

I'm sure the media will scrutinize Obama's choice.

Where'd he get his MD from? Can't seem to find that info. I mean, you'd think that the guy to head up the government's response to Ebola would be a doctor, right?

Ahhhh... this is what comes up when you google him:

quote:

Ronald A. "Ron" Klain is an American lawyer and political operative best known for serving as Chief of Staff to two Vice Presidents - Al Gore and Joseph Biden. He is an influential Democratic Party insider.

Now it makes sense.

Am I a dumbass or isn't that what the CDC is for? And, since he's appointing another 6 fig lackey, shouldn't he maybe have chosen someone with an infectious disease background or at least have written a prescription or two? Maybe?

It's more of the clown show ... except this time, this is really no joke.

We should all be concerned.

Do we not have a Surgeon General?

Where is he (or she)?

We don't have one at the time, only an interim. The guy nominated is espousing gun control and the Reps won't give him their vote.

Our do-nothing approve-nothing Congress hasn't gotten around to confirming one.

Surgeon General is a bullshite post.

Do you honestly think Jocelyn Elders would be remotely useful right now?

In the vacuum of responsibility we have right now? Where nobody seems to be in charge? Yeah I think a SG could be useful.

Maybe the POTUS should ... I don't know ... lead ?

Oh ... that's right ... he is incapable and incompetent.

He never was and never will be qualified to be POTUS.

Obama isn't an MD and likely doesn't know a single thing about infectious disease control. Which is why I hold the opinion that a surgeon general could be useful today, if we had one. I had much rather that person be "leading" than Obama or his czar, so go bitch to someone else.
