39 days and this pompous frick will be a pimple on the arse of American History.
quote:
"You know, my general theory is that, if I was clear in my own mind about who I was, comfortable in my own skin, and had clarity about the way in which race continues to be this powerful factor in so many elements of our lives," Obama said. "But that it is not the only factor in so many aspects of our lives, that we have, by no means overcome the legacies of slavery and Jim Crow and colonialism and racism,
quote:
America is still struggling to overcome its "legacies of slavery, Jim Crow, colonialism, and racism," President Obama told Comedy Central Monday night.

Pretty damning indictment of affirmative action, racial preferences and the War on Poverty.
Didn't know he had it in him...

Got some bad news for you folks. A thousand years from now, they will still be saying this.

The problem with diversity is that people are tribal. There will be groups that will never be happy if one group is doing better in something.
Oh, he's just telling jokes, nevermind then.

I agree with his statement. We might disagree on my firm belief that it is the policies and attitudes that define his own party that continue to perpetuate the problems.
Bye.
Bye.

damn throwing in colonialism, too?
i don't really like to make this argument, but let's assume there was no colonialism or slavery. just how diverse does Obama think the US would be today? also, does he think that Africa would somehow be competing at a higher level on the international stage?
i just don't get what they want or think would have happened in this alternative history
when you get into colonialism, it gets absurd. sub-Saharan Africa would be a primitive, pre-industrial culture to this day if it wasn't for colonialism

Oooooh. He was just joking, right? Right?

I do love the fact that with the parties and the MSM going all in vs Trump they have for now forgotten the BHO victory lap tour
Another bonus.

If he was it was the only joke told on the Daily Show in recent memory.

Having Obama on comedy central was the joke.

It's because black people won't let the issue die.
It's easy to pin the blame on something that happened in the past to explain why it's not your fault that your son sells crack and is in and out of jail and you have 8 kids with 6 different men and a job at Dollar General.

Obama grew up more privileged than anyone on this board.. He graduated from fricking Colombia University and Harvard, how does he have the gall to say things like this?

What will trump tweet in response

if I'm communicating my genuine belief that those who are not subject to racism can sometimes have blind spots or lack of appreciation of what it feels to be on the receiving end of that,
Really can be an arrogant prick.

Dear Obama, white people are 1000% over it. It's you folk who won't let it die. You hold on as tight as you can and that's incredibly telling

This is the correct answer.

I like when libs attack colonialism, because they're basically saying that the existence of Mexicans and other peoples of mixed descent is a tragic mistake.
