How anyone still believes these fools anymore is beyond me.

Has to be such a depressing profession

Got anything beyond the screenshot? Link?

Oh, it was from ~5 months ago, posted on ibankcoin.com. Sweet.

Yea, the when is more important than the why.
Posted on 6/16/17 at 12:43 am to CptBengal
Yeah, no shite. So it's a fricking wonder why you posted it in June, you mongoloid dipshit.

How about the source? But NyT is fake news, right?
Posted on 6/16/17 at 12:48 am to rbWarEagle
damn. You mad as hell.
I fail to see how those numbers aren't relevant. Common sense says that if those numbers are true, i.e. The exponential growth in China clicks, then It likely hasn't self corrected in only four months

The point is: who the frick knows if it's true? Check the source. Cpt Dingleberry posted a 4 month old screenshot with no link and got 10+ upvotes. Honestly, what the frick?

Well, while you bring up a good point regarding the lack of a link/source, that is not the only point you brought up. You clearly have a problem about the timing.
If he provides a solid link, your other point is quite weak

Even if he provided a link, it wouldn't have been solid. I did his homework for him and found a shoddy link.
Posted on 6/16/17 at 12:58 am to rbWarEagle
Doesn't change the fact that you were up in arms about the timing.
The source is a legitimate gripe.
However if the source is legit, then timing really doesn't mean shite.

I wasn't up in arms about the timing - just pointed it out. As the colloquialism goes... (poorly sourced) "Germans"

I'm sure you looked deeper into the issue to see if there was another possible explanation. I'm assuming your internet was somehow unable to find this story that was published across the internet, but apparently China had the New York Times application removed from the Apple App Story on 12/23/16.
China Internet Censorship: New York Times Apps Removed
12/22/16--Day before taken off app store. (China 10.1%)
12/29/16--One week later (China 21.3%)
01/05/17--Two weeks later (China 32.1%)
01/12/17--Three weeks later (China 39.1%)
02/19/17--Two months later (China 3.4%)
Clearly the New York Times decided it needed to stay relevant, even though it had a global ranking of 94th when China was 3.4% of the traffic on 02/19 A HUGE DECLINE of ZERO from its 94th ranking on 01/19.
They need to find a better click farm to stay relevant. I'll refer them to CptBengal.

quote:Given the lack of access via the application, and the publicity, I wonder if there is a trend in the 30 days monthly tracking? Well let's see.
The app was removed on Dec. 23 following a request from the Chinese authorities, the paper said Wednesday.
