THEY GOT HIM NOW!

quote:

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced a lawsuit against Trump for violating the law as part of his efforts to generate profits. She gives the example that Mar-a-Lago was valued as high as $739M when it should've been at $75M. In a more than 200 page lawsuit, the Attorney General said that Donald Trump, his family, and the Trump Organization committed more than 200 criminal acts by falsifying asset evaluations to inflate their wealth. The lawsuit also names three of Donald Trump's children: Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump. Attorney General James is seeking to permanently bar the Trump family from conducting business in New York and $250 million in penalties.

Liberals are insane. This is going to be more NY tax payer money wasted on an investigation and lawsuit that will lead nowhere.

Doesn’t the bank or lender do independent appraisals before lending money?

What exactly is she basing it off off? Forbes valued the residence at 160 mil in 2018. Being as property went crazy a few years back during covid its plausible to think that the 2nd largest mansion in Florida is well worth 739 mil now.

I don't understand the charge. Did she cite the law that Trump broke?

And were are the banks in all this? They are the harmed party. Not the state of New York unless New York secured the loans on false information.

Let's check her personal bank accounts about a year from now. I'm curious as to how much Soros, and the DNC, is paying her to act as their personal stooge.

So is he overinflating his wealth or paying $0 in taxes? Can’t really have it both ways

The bank appraises value of an asset/collateral and loans the money. Not sure why the NY AG would be a player in this. The banks shareholders would be the party that would need to sue if that where the case.

My property brings in $0 in revenue for me.

Do I multiply by three to get the asset value?

What the hell is going on here?

You couldn’t build Mar-a-Lago for $75M today.

yep, because if they win, nothing happens to trump, and then NY owes him a few hundred million in tax refunds for the amount of overpaid taxes based on those asset values

Sure and I can value my possessions by whatever amount I see fit. It's up to the lender to do their due diligence.

It looks like their argument is going to be Trump lied on loan documents or something I guess to prove fraud. It's a pretty poor argument in Trump's case unless he did lie with no intention if paying the loans back.
