The problem with this is the Obama EO
Yeah. But I think that if the EO had nefarious, for this intended purpose, then the sharing isn't the key, it's the potential to share convolutes the ability to find the leaker. Furthermore, then can try to argue that it was an "honest mistake," with the new policy in place.

Chances of Obama and his administration being knee-deep in this shite: 100% TOO LOW

Chances of someone in Obama's administration being held to account: prolly 50% WAY TOO HIGH. I'd say it approaches 0.

Sure. It may make a nefarious motivation of the leaks more obvious, but legally proving it harder.

Pretty much the same news is being repackaged over and over, and every time it is each side stupidly jumps up and says "OMG THIS IS IT!!!!"

Your attempts to be even-keeled often helps you to lose the plot.

And precisely worded in Trumps tweet "Is this legal"

He wasn't accusing Obama of criminal behavior, just unethical. And now we know he was right

So the leaks aren't proven?

Not really. Even disregarding that Trump was referring to something unrelated to this (pre-election and himself), we know the collection was probably legal and the unmasking and leaking was illegal.

I'm saying that it makes it harder to prove a party was guilty in a legal proceeding.

There will never be a legal proceeding over what Obama may or may not have done. That was not the intent of any tweet.

The fact is, however, that unless Nunes was lying you'd have to concede that Trump associates were being surveiled.

And even more importantly than that, using the "look at what Trump tweeted" line to cover up what WAS done to his campaign is pathetic.

I think his exact words were "right before the election". And now that we know it was done during the transition, I don't think a couple of days should negate everything he said. And he might still be proven right

Plus, CNN is just now saying Trump and his family were surveilled, so he was right there too
