As of yesterday, The blue states accounted for 80% of confirmed cases. The U.S.’s ground zero was a blue state. The only Red state in the top affected states is Louisiana, which we all know was heavily affected by the timing of the virus and Mardi Gras.

You could take New York out today the equation and the Blue states still dominate in confirmed cases. Also, if we look at % of population

NY 0.306%
NJ 0.151%
LA 0.076% (red state with dummy Dim governor)
MA 0.071%
WA 0.057%
MI 0.055%
CT 0.043%
IL 0.036%
VT 0.038%
CO 0.036%
NV 0.029%
RI 0.028%
PA 0.027%

So, COVID-19 per capita, the top 13 states are Blue with Louisiana being the exception.

My point is this, these a-holes complain about Trump, but the numbers demonstrate that the vast majority of persons spreading this pandemic are Democratic. I have seen on-line some inane, delusional posts from people bashing Trump and praising Pritzker, Bel Edwards, and Cuomo...then talk about using science and facts/data. Ladies and Gents, the data is clear. Dems brought it into the country, spread the virus and then bitched about national preparedness. Like their following, they fully expect the government to molly coddle them and provide for every want and need.

I’ll digress, but needed to get this out.

That's because most of these states have large metropolitan areas that are transportation hubs. Has nothing to do with what party they are

Correlation =/= causation.

You could probably find literally thousands of similarities between those states

New Orleans because of Mardi Gras skews Louisiana big time.

I don't really think anyone needs to be blamed (at least no one in the US)

Stay at Home orders are no joke. They have a huge effect on th economy. To the point were it is extreemely hard for anyone at any level to be really proactive in this situations

People would lose their shite if we shutdown in February to get ahead of this thing.

Confirmed cases at this point is in large measure a function of how aggressive testing has been in a given area. For instance, Georgia has confirmed positives of only ~2,600 and Pennsylvania has ~3,300. But to get to those numbers, Pennsylvania has tested 33,300 people, while Georgia has tested only 12,500. Meanwhile, Georgia also has more than twice as many COVID deaths as Pennsylvania.

Do you really believe that Georgia is less affected than Pennsylvania? That if they tested another 20,000 people they'd wouldn't find at least 1,000 cases? This thing is EVERYWHERE.
