NPR was my news source in the 1980's and it was a quality product, if a bit to the left. When they fired Bob Edwards for being a white male it was the real warning. They became "progressively" worse and worse. When Obama was elected I'd mostly stopped listening but at that point there were an embarrassing lapdog for the Whitehouse. Shameful for supposed "journalists". As much as I liked them in the 80's I've always thought that government funding of a news source is a TERRIBLE idea. The time to defund them was before it began. Pull the plug, time to end the pretense.
