Apparently he thinks he's Al Sharpton.

What a dipshit.

Nope, he is fighting vermin.

Do you think all of this fighting will actually accomplish anything? It'll just make people like him less.

There's nothing that he can do that's going to fundamentally change the way his opposition thinks or feels. At least not the way he's going about it. It also isn't sticking it to them or anything like that either

one thing to not go because you have something else to do but the grandstanding because of who the president is shite

but curry is a really good trained seal who can throw a ball through a hoop so let's listen to him.

I don't think Stephen Curry was asking anyone to listen to him. I think he just didn't want to go cuz he doesn't care about the president or his politics. I wouldn't either

Oh, he clearly is.

Let's take this specific scenario here and discuss what would have happened had Trump allowed the visit to take place:

1) Curry, along with another teammate or two, would have denounced the visit by saying they can't go see a "nazi" or "white supremacist" in the WH knowing full well they bowed to Obama.
2) The MSM would have latched on to those players, promoted their ideals, and put them on blast 24/7.
3) The racist idiots at ESPN would have had segment after segment promoting this, all the while saying they aren't pushing politics.
4) The other team members would have shown up, and would have been completely ignored unless they would have done something classless like flip off Trump the way one of the idiots on the Cubs did.
5) The MSM would have then lied about the visit, crowd size, etc. This would have gone on for weeks while sports fans would have had more politics injected into their product.

Trump cutting off the invite cut off all of this predictable, child-like behavior. Good for him.

Yep.

Getting out in front of the narrative and framing it is what he has done succesfully before.

The first seeds of doubt towards opposition against Trump was actually planted in my head right after the Chicago rally being canceled because of violence and we had republicans and so called constitutional conservatives blame Trump like it was his fault instead of the violent protestors that were actually being violent.

That was eye opening to me and just was the beginning of a journey to voting Trump. I really backed off the Trump hating rhetoric quite a bit after that.

Speaking of which, he must have found a helluva hole to crawl in after the election. Seems as if he just faded down the hole with his rhetoric.

I'll bet my house if it was Obama still in the WH, Curry would be there lickity split.

...But since a white republican is running things now, it's all of a sudden a problem for him.

Yup.

I actually started a thread about this very thing last year letting the Never Trumpers on the right know what this was going to lead to. I "predicted" (not that it was hard) the repeated violence, etc.

Since that was OKed, the next "moderate" R to run will get the same treatment from the left. These Never Trumpers quickly forgot I guess that just 8 years ago, McCain was also a racist, then Romney, etc.

Anyone with an R by their name is going to get this treatment now, and they justified it themselves. Ironic and hilarious.

If you're going to quote me and then make an assy remark you might want to quote what I highlighted and not what you wanted to highlight to make your stupid arse statement seem more credible..

lol, more 3D chess. Of course it is! Welcome to the poli board.

If you can't convince yourself what he's doing is genius, just convince yourself you'll be dumb enough to believe it is later. Rinse, repeat.
