Women Nationwide Cut Up Nordstrom’s Cards, Plan Boycotts After Political Decision to Drop Ivanka Trump Line

The bump in stock price won't last if they can't turn a profit because they lose customers.

Two threads on here and I can already tell you are either 12 or should be on disability because you have an insufficient amount of working brain cells.

They'll all quietly introduce the line in less than a month now that all the women on the boards of these companies have been allowed to make their pointless political statements and the men decide it's time to make money again.

Take that, Donald Trump? Macy's making a comeback - https://money.cnn.com

February 23, 2016

by Paul R. La Monica @lamonicabuzz

You won't see Donald Trump endorsing Macy's anymore. But the company seems to be rebounding in the post-Trump era.

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump called for a boycott of Macy's after the retailer dumped his clothing line following the controversial comments he made about Mexican immigrants last year.
But Macy's (M) may be having the last laugh. For now, at least.

The company's stock was up 4% Tuesday after reporting results that topped forecasts. And Macy's is actually one of the best performing stocks in the S&P 500 this year.

Macy’s CEO Says Dumping Donald Trump’s Line Was Still the Right Move - fortune.com

Nov 10, 2016

Phil Wahba
Macy's (M) CEO Terry Lundgren on Thursday stood by his decision last year to drop president-elect Donald Trump's clothing line from the department store chain.

In the summer of 2015, Macy's stopped selling Trump's line of menswear after the real-estate-developer-turned-Republican-candidate said many Mexican immigrants were rapists or murderers. Despite Trump's victory on Tuesday and upcoming ascent to the most powerful job in the world, Lundgren said he has no regrets.

"We made our decision about a year and a half ago, and stand by our decision," Lundgren told TheStreet in an interview.

Macy's plunge: 'Cutting 10,000 jobs' since dissing - wnd.com

Here's massive list of retail locations that company is closing

01/04/2017

JOE KOVACS

In the battle of Macy’s vs. Donald Trump, it appears the clear loser continues to be Macy’s.

On Wednesday, the retailer announced disappointing holiday sales, prompting its stock to drop more than 9 percent.

The company also released the locations of 68 of the 100 stores it plans to close, with more than 10,000 jobs reportedly being eliminated.

CNBC reported: ” As part of Wednesday’s announcement Macy’s said it will eliminate layers of management to cut costs and make more agile decisions. It also will work to reduce other non-payroll costs. As a result of these steps, the company estimates its work force will be cut by 6,200. Another 3,900 workers will be displaced by the store closures and some of these employers could be reassigned.

Macy's may be put up for sale - usatoday.com

Feb. 2, 2017

Charisse Jones , USA TODAY

Macy’s, the iconic department store chain that has lost shoppers to nimbler rivals and online retailers, may be sold, according to a report.

The retailer’s CEO Terry Lundgren, who will be stepping down this year, is now willing to potentially place the chain he helmed for more than 13 years in the hands of a new owner
, according to a report in the New York Post.

The move would be a way for the beleaguered brand to avoid a battle for control of its board of directors, in the wake of some investors’ mounting frustrations about Macy’s slumping sales and anemic growth.

Careful. Topics that do not praise the dear leader are at risk to be anchored. You need to throw in a MAGA or something.

Locally, they appear to be going out of business, pulling out of a couple of malls

If you read the article it suggest, "we had a disappointing year, but I tell my people it's necessary to set up our comeback

so from that, we get "take that Trump"....?

Uh...what am I missing? the results haven't been realized yet.

Ok. We will see how it pans out after a few months. The consumers will ultimately decide whether or not this was a good move.
