Nobody has went there but where and exactly how did Obama make his fortune?

He was broke. But now he has a mega fortune. And the job paid $400K a year. A book like his wife wrote is nice. But he is likely close to a billionaire.
Biden was a warm body who filled a role. Selected because he would play ball and was goofy enough so as not to overshadow the inexperienced rookie. But was given his fishing holes to pad his "retirement". Trump takes not a quarter which dramatizes the Obama new found mega wealth even more. Clinton was running her hustles of course.

Mainly books. The Audacity of Hope had a 2 million dollar advance, if I recall, and Barack got to keep around 10% of either net or gross royalties, which is more or less the industry standard. If his first two books combined sold 7.5 mil, as was reported, his royalty package was pretty solid. Depending on how the overseas book sales did, and how that contract was structured, that can account for a good degree of his initial wealth.
Both the Obamas got a book contract from Penguin Random House for 3 books, I think, with an advance between $40-65 million, which is a crazy advance. It was certainly a gamble, but Michelle Obama's book has already outsold Barack's, selling 10 million copies by March of this year, which has already made PRH the advance back, plus more. The audiobook and e-book sales have higher royalty payouts, so the amount Michelle banked from this book is a massive figure in the book world.

They are spending money like it is. Book deals after taxes are still pretty sweet but they are wealthy and have burned through mega millions in homes and toys. They made some money. No problem, they obviously all do. Truman was the only president in the last 75 years who left the WH broke.

Didn’t they strip some FCC/ Internet streaming regulations to allow Netflix to take over, and now Netflix is giving them some multimillion dollar kickback deal?

I'm not a NN fan, but is there research/reports pointing to his support benefiting him? That's interesting.

So not sure he's that close to a billionaire yet, but he def has some shadiness that would be interesting to see where all his money is coming from outside of the books, and speeches. Repubs def need to throw his special book deals setup prior to going into the WH when the Dems try to say Trump family is using the presidency to profit.
Also, didn't Obama push/support/back the founding of the carbon credit exchange in Chicago too? Not sure how truly successful that is, but can see money laundering being potentially easier using it. Something to look into.
