My local congresswoman who is a border hawk and MAGA just conceded. She lost to a man who marched with Antifa and pledges to defund the police.

I’m on the border of NM/Mexico. We are fricked.

This was supposed to be a safe seat.

frick the garbage humans in Las Cruces and Albuquerque.

Lost by 1k votes. After her win in ‘20, they redrew districts to ensure she couldn’t win again.
Sucks because she really backed us in Law Enforcement on the border

Hang in there. I still have a 14 year “sentence” to serve in Illinois before I can retire. Hopefully to the moon

NM is such an outlier. Given the urban to rural ratio and oil & gas it should be red.

I’m not trying to rub salt in the wound but it’s as if you’ve never seen a voting map. Border counties have shite-tons of illegals voting.

State is red but it’s controlled by deep blue Albuquerque(which is a crime infested shithole, Santa Fe & Las Cruces(college town NMSU & gang infested).

Everywhere else is solid red.
And of course Santa Fe & ABQ are north NM so they’re a bit removed from the border crisis and they don’t care about crime, they’re happy to live in it.

Not here though because it’s all red.
We lost because of gerrymandering to the north. The border here is red

I know.....i lived in Las Cruces twice.

I used to plan on building a place up by Cloudcroft (Timberon) when I retire. But now Im thinking northern Arizona instead.

Any place above 7000 feet in NM is better than the rest. Red River, Ruidoso, Cloudcroft, and others are all nice.
