Michaella Surat, 22, was tossed to the ground outside of Bondi Beach Bar in Fort Collins, CO Thursday after allegedly hitting an officer, says a Daily Mail report.
Fort Collins Police were on hand after reportedly receiving a call about a fight involving Surat’s boyfriend.
Officers’ body cam footage will be reviewed as part of the investigation into the incident, but Fort Collins Police Department stands by their officers’ actions.
“[Surat] remained at the scene, at which time she physically obstructed and struck an officer,” a spokesman said.
The student was booked into Larimer County Jail and later released after posting $1,750 bond.
Surat was charged with third-degree assault and obstructing a peace officer. She is set to appear in court on Wednesday.

Yep, and stupidity. You always cooperate with the police. You can point out the error of their actions at a later date and in a more suitable environment.
You're never going to win a physical escalation with a cop at the site it's occurring.

If her boyfriend did the same thing In that scenario he would be arrested for domestic violence.

If a cop has to body slam a little sorority girl that's half his own weight to get the arrest, then he's not fit to be a cop and has no business being one.

I just though it was a nice body slam it does look a wee bit excessive, no? But there are a few double standards in play. She likely wont try to smack a cop again, tho.

Been saying all along, the real problem isn't white LEOs showing excessive force on non-whites.
There are far too many incidents like this occurring for race to be the primary factor. Too many LEOs are using lethal or near-lethal force in situations that simply don't call for it.
My late grandfather (lifelong police officer, retired as a chief) would have this a-hole's badge.
