NFLPA is going to find out how little power they really have.

On Wednesday, Detroit Lions safety Glover Quin, the team's NFLPA representative, didn't want to talk much about Jones or potentially being required to stand for the anthem.

He did say, however, that when the NFLPA responds to this, the message will be clear.

"The message will be put out," Quin said. "The message, it will be out. Clearly."
So, let me be clear. They think fans are boycotting NOW? Wait until they come out in favor of protesting and cause a walkout.

NFL as we know it will be done. Fans will revolt.

They can take a knee during the anthem whenever they're flipping burgers at McDonalds in a few years.

They have gotten themselves into a no win situation , and still keep managing to make it even worse. They now have both whites and blacks boycotting for the opposite reason. Potential requirement of standing for the anthem and this from the NFLPA is set to only exacerbate the problem. I'll just sit here and watch it burn.

I would LOVE to see a walk out happen. That would be neat.

I'm calling it now. The players will threaten a strike. It won't work but they will threaten it.

I thought the clown on the Titans that tweeted "...bye." to the fans that disapproved of the protest spoke volumes about how misinformed or simply how stupid these morons are.

Leave aside things like the Wonderlic. I really believe that if the average NFL player were asked to write a one page paper explaining "How the NFL Makes Money" they'd - *Cough.

Uh well, anyway I figure they probably think most of the money comes from fans paying admission to the games. That's a whole lotta folks in the stands. Got to be a lot of money.

The ones that went to LSU probably figure Corn Dog sales cover everyone's nut.

That would be the most tone deaf thing they could possibly do, so I agree, they will do it.

Oh they have proven their intellectual and financial ineptitude time and time again. I don't disagree with your suggestions.

Hard to pay for all that bling on strike.

Too bad NFL operatives and ownership don't realize that they will eventually have to choose lefty players or the money of patriotic fans. Trump will not let this slip quietly into the good night.

Right now they have the ability to grab public support and shift power away from the players for the first time since they lost the PR war during the the 1987 lock out.

I would buy tickets to see scabs play in a heart beat....and I would enjoy it with a passion. These bastards are for all purposes telling me, who is the base that pays their salaries, I'm racist and doing something wrong. If that message is incorrect, then they are dumbasses because no one has officially come out and explained which people are protesting for what reason. I mean, is Krapernik's cause the same as the pop warner kids, the college kids, the arm lockers, and the still kneeling/employed NFL guys the same thing? I have no clue, but it's a slap to my face so I'm out NFL!!!! ENjoy your giant shite sandwich.

I'm really surprised that the agents / financial advisers haven't shut this nonsense down and explained how their share of the smaller pie is coming if they don't shut up.

It doesn't matter who is right or wrong. If people tune out, they will lose money. That is a fact.
