NFL rejects Cowboys honoring police on helmets
LINK

OK, so the NFL doesn't want to be political. So why didn't they fine all of the 'Hands up Don't Shoot' players? When it was based on a proven lie?

My disdain for the NFL is rapidly approaching NBA status.

No. Just players honoring the idiots on the field. Every week.

What's the big deal on having an honor for those who served honorably and died due to the idiots the players represented on the field last year?

re: NFL rejects Cowboys honoring police on helmets
Well, there is one thing governing pregame actions/demonstrations by players and doing anything with the official equipment, which the NFL is real big about, fining players for all sorts of stuff during games.

I'm not really familiar with what players may have done with their equipment during games with that other stuff, so if anyone knows, I'd like to know.

The NFL does allow a lot on the helmets, breast cancer, honoring players, etc. As much as someone might not agree with the strategy, they may be trying to avoid the flip side of this, which is allowing BLM or related stuff on their helmets, so just making the whole issue "No go" for them.

They don't want to have to fend those people off 2 months from now is my guess.

Also still waiting for Goodell to punish Crowell for posting that picture advocating for violence against cops. Not holding my breath.

I think if the players want to make a gesture supporting the cops they can.

What's that got to do with it? Ask any employer and 90% of them will tell you that you represent that company even in your off time. Drugs, dog fighting, wife beatings - you know those kind of things where they don't wear their uniforms away from the stadium but still get you in trouble with the bosses.

I guarantee outside of a few Cowboy and Saints players who are willing to be fined, there will not be one gesture for the officers killed or support for LE in general at all. Bookmark it. I'll eat crow happily IF it happens.
