Goodell has to be losing his shite right now and feeling a ton of heat from the owners.
Trump supporters made up a lot of the NFL's viewing base and ratings and attendance were already going way down before the President of the United States decided to pile on.
Good thing the saints are terrible this year so there's that.

4 teams have already spoken out against Trump. Before Friday I would've agreed with you but calling their players SOBs might've tipped the scales.

Places like Target and Chik-Fil-A were ludicrous to take a political stance alienating Half of their consumers, this is far worse.
The NFL under Goodell is now wagering whether 2/3rd of the fanbase will allow players to openly shove bad politics in their face each game.

Nor can he w the Murica crowd. That's what people around here dont get. It's all about mitigating this damage and making money. Trump just a pushed a shitload of people to the other side, essentially tipping the scales.

These NFL athletes have a tremendous stage from which they could effectuate real change in the ghetto communities through prudent exercise of free speech.
