A lot of these breweries seem to think that they just need to make their IPAs super bitter and it will be good. The over bitterness masks their shitty brewing and shitty beer.

This is false. Current beer trends specifically regarding IPA's, overwhelmingly points to less IBU (bitterness units) in beer. Brewers are unlocking the flavor potential more of hops, that balances with the bitterness. Again, if you like shitty lagers, then IPA's aren't for you.

Yes, i drink craft beer, german beer, czech beer, and am a homebrewer.

Hops in major beer-producing European countries like Germany, Czech Republic and Slovenia are ripening earlier and producing less since 1994, scientists found.

Meh, since 1994 is a stretch. The hop harvest yields have been in flux for awhile across the globe. But that's natural. However, the recent harvests over the past 2 or 3 years have been down in Europe. In America, i believe our yields have not diminished any.

they are starting to lose their critical bitter component.

This is due to shitty growing conditions. Yes, it may be due to "global warming". But, that is the natural cyclical global warming. Leftists has bastardized the term to mean man-made GW. Which is not true. Anyway, shifting of climate is causing more stress on the hop fields in europe, thus reducing the Alpha acids.

Hop yields could decline by as much as 18% by 2050, and their alpha acid content – which makes beer bitter – could decrease by up to 31% due to hotter and drier conditions,

This is just sensationalism. Craft industry is pretty liberal. However, capitalism and liberalism doesn't mix, which may be why so many breweries have a short shelf life.

The major reason micro breweries fail is because of the vast number of new micro breweries. Speaking only for myself but in the last 20 years or so I have not had or heard one conversation on liberal beer. Bud lite being a mega beer and a mega disaster

Well, that's part of it. Some of it is brewers seeing the number and trying to get in on it. The ones that stick around are the ones that scale down or moderated expansion operations because they saw the forecast, and didn't jump to "expand at all costs". Parish is a good example. At the time i didn't agree, but Godley's reasoning to not expand 2 or 3 years ago was very prudent. Some of the more regional breweries that expanded, have had to shut down or majorly contract due to over expansion.

I think we are at the point of correcting the oversaturation of the market. In another 3-5 years we should be at a sensible baseline for number of breweries. That doesn't mean i won't enjoy new breweries opening up.

Smart breweries aren't going to alienate their clientele. However, you do get some small breweries that are so ate up with the woke, that they will broadcast their stupidity on social media. There was a couple of breweries i read about about 5-10 years ago that operated their brewery as a true Collective. I don't think they survived.

Fortunately, the US is the largest grower of hops .
